I have an appointment with an eye doctor tomorrow and she prescribed me Tropicamide 1% Ophthalmic Solution 3ml. Have any of you tried it before? I know it's meant to dilate my pupils to make the inside of my eye more visible, I just want to make sure I'm prepared for the experience. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Also anyone know if it may interact with other medications? I will be taking it with my other daily medications such as Lisinopril For Hypertension. Thanks in advance.

I work at an optometry clinic and we use this all the time. It's perfectly normal and safe. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Maybe watch some youtube videos on it too.

I've used it before for an eye exam. It stings a bit when you put it in, but it's not too bad. Just be prepared to have blurred vision and sensitivity to light for a while afterwards.

I don't think it interacts with Lisinopril, but you should definitely ask your doctor to be sure. Better safe than sorry!

So, does it make your eyes look sexy? Kidding! But seriously, I've never had any issues with it. Just a little stinging when I first put it in.

Why would you need your pupils dilated for an eye exam? Seems weird.
