I've been using the Twirla patch for a few months now, and I'm curious to hear from others who have tried it. I've had some headaches and irritation around the patch, but nothing too serious. For those who have been on this birth control patch, how has it worked for you? Have you experienced any of the more serious side effects? If so, how did you handle them? I've heard that some people experience fluid retention, especially if they've already had migraines or have high blood pressure. I look forward to hearing your experiences, good or bad, so we can all learn from each other.

Was tired all the time on the patch. I was terrified of the blood clots, and maybe it was all in my head but I actually had some minor swelling in my right leg, so I stopped using it and switched to the IUD. I went to my doctor and got a few tests run but everything turned out okay. It was a bit of a shock but I think I'm happier this way.

I'm on my third week of using Twirla and so far, so good. No headaches, no nausea, no weird skin reactions. I'm pretty impressed. I'm hoping it stays this way. I have heard that it's better than the pill for some people, that the side effects are less. So fingers crossed.

It was great at first. I tried it because I was hearing good things from other people but it was too much. I had irregular periods, headaches, and stomach pains. I returned to the pill. I'm a bit disappointed because I had high hopes for it. It's a shame, but it wasn't for me.

I've had a breast lump since taking Twirla and I'm freaking out. I've heard that it's not common, but I'm still freaking out. I've got a doctor's appointment soon so fingers crossed but it's a scary thing to go through.

I've been on hormone birth control for years and haven't had issues with fluid retention before, but I've gained 10 lbs since starting Twirla. Idk what to think about that. I've heard other people say they had that issue too. I'm not sure if it's the patch or something I am doing wrong, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and trying to make healthier choices.

Has anyone else noticed weight gain? I've put on about 7lbs and it's kind of annoying. I've heard that fluid retention is common with this kind of hormone birth control, but I'm still worried.

I switched to Twirla from the pill and it's been a game-changer for me. No more forgetting to take a daily pill and I've had no real side effects. I got a bit of a reaction to the patch at first but it seems to have settled down. I do get a bit of a headache every now and then but the relief of knowing my birth control is taken care of is well worth it. I actually ordered it online after my doctor gave the go ahead

I've been on the patch for 6 months now and I haven't had any issues so far. I had 2 gas pains for a few days, but my doctor said it was unlikely to be the patch and I've felt fine since. I've just kept an eye on my skin and everything has been okay so far. It's a great alternative to the pill and I'm glad I found out about it.

I think I've been on every form of birth control there is and this one is the worst. I had the patch on my thigh and it felt like it was burning me. I decided to remove it and it hurt so much. And the patch fell off in the shower...I'm definitely done with the patch.

I had a nightmare with it, I got migraines and vomiting within months. I had to stop taking it because of the side effects. What a pain getting yourself to a doctor and suffering during the tests for blood clots
