I've been prescribed Tymlos, 1 Prefilled Pen for my severe osteoporosis as a post-menopausal woman. I'm injecting it once daily as directed. The description sounds promising, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone had any problems with this medication? I've read some conflicting information online and it would be great to hear from people who have actual experience with it. I'm hoping to hear from women who have been on this for a while about their experiences as well as thoughts from any doctors or medical professionals who might be reading this thread. I know everyone's experience is different, but maybe someone can fill me in on what to expect in the long run.

Honestly, I've been on Tymlos for about 6 months now and it's been pretty manageable. I've had some mild dizziness and upset stomach, but nothing I couldn't handle. I'm still adjusting, though, so I'll keep you updated if anything changes.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I was just prescribed Tymlos and I was dreading the injections. But now I see that it might not be so bad. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences.

I've had a pretty good experience with Tymlos. I've had some mild side effects like upset stomach and diarrhea, but nothing too serious. I've also had some dizziness, but it's usually gone by the next day. I'm trying to keep track of the side effects, so I'll mention this to my doctor about the dizziness.

I've been on Tymlos for about a year now. The most annoying side effect for me has been the injection site reactions—redness and swelling. It really bothers me for a few days after each injection. I wish that the doctor had prepared me for that. I had no trouble with the injection process, but that was a bummer. I've also had some joint pain and bloating, but it was intermittent and manageable. Absolutely nothing like the side effects I got from my first osteoporosis med. I've always found it helpful to keep a daily log of my symptoms to spot patterns and help my doctor tailor my treatment plan.

I know we're looking for real-life experience, but I just need to say it – don't let the idea of bone cancer scare you. This was such a common complaint in the forums I read at first, but it seems so rare in the real world. We've all been through this, and doctors have done their homework. I've never heard of this in any of my patients myself. This is the most promising med for high-risk patients that I've seen in years. Have a good attitude about it and it'll make the process so much better.
