Hello Reddit, I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy and my doctor prescribed Udenyca 6mg/0.6ml to help boost my neutrophil count. I've got a lot of questions and would appreciate any insights or experiences others might have. The side effects list is long and scary, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone else dealt with these? How did you manage? I want to know everything from the good to the bad. Let's discuss!

My doctor told me to come in if I had any changes, but I didn't realize how serious some of the side effects could be. I was surprised by how many of them were related to kidney and lung issues. I thought it was just for boosting white blood cells!

I had a friend who had severe reactions to Neulasta, but she was fine on Udenyca. Everyone's different, unfortunately. I say give it a shot if it's what the doc recommends, but keep an eye out and talk to them if it gets bad.

I'm on my 3rd dose and no side effects so far! I'm crossing my fingers it stays that way. I'm not worried about CLS at all because it's so rare but I'm still keeping an eye on everything. My doctor actually told me to come in if I have any freaking changes. That's good customer service, I think!

Udenyca saved my life. I was in the hospital with neutropenic sepsis when my doctor suggested it. I had never heard of it before, but it helped my body fight off the infections and I was able to continue my chemo. I ended up having to have surgery to remove an enlarged spleen, but I'm cancer-free now.

I had a crazy experience with my first dose. I felt like I had the flu for a few days, but it went away. My doctor said it was a normal reaction for some people and that it should go away with the next dose. I was sweating bullets thinking I had CLS, but it turns out it was just a normal reaction.

Udenyca is a biosimilar of Neulasta, so they're quite similar, but there can be slight differences in how they're delivered and some people respond differently to them. I had a friend who had severe reactions to Neulasta, but she was fine on Udenyca. Everyone's different, unfortunately.

I work in an oncology office and we've had patients on Udenyca with great results. The side effects can be scary, but remember, they're rare. It's important to monitor your symptoms and report any changes to your doctor. Kidney and lung issues are serious, so keep an eye on that urine and any trouble breathing.
