My dad was recently prescribed Nelarabine for his T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). The doctor gave us a lot of info, but I'm still worried about these possible side effects. Anyone who has been through this before and can share their experiences and tips would be very appreciated right now. What are the side effects that you should be highly concerned about? What are the red flags i should look out for? The medication list is long and frankly scary. I'm not totally sure what to expect.

My dad wouldn't stop bleeding and the nosebleeds were a mess. But that's not to say it's a given. He had some good days on the days he didn't bleed.

Hang in there. Hope your dad gets the strength and care he needs.

Nelarabine can be tough, but it's important to stay positive. My dad always says, 'Stay strong, you can do this', and I think that made a big difference.

Has your dad's doctor talked about the possibility of tumor lysis syndrome? It's something to keep a close eye on, especially in the early stages of treatment.
