I've been using Benadryl Liquid for my seasonal allergies for years, but this time I've experienced some symptoms that are worrying me. I've had some of the usual side effects like drowsiness and a dry mouth, but I also noticed some itching and a mild rash on my arms. I'm not sure if these are just other side effects that I've never noticed before, or if I'm having an allergic reaction. I've taken the medication for a few days and the itching seems to be getting worse. I'm planning to call my doctor, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar? Any advice on whether I should be concerned or just wait for the rash to go away? I've seen some serious side effects listed, so I'm a bit nervous. Thanks in advance!

Keep an eye out for changes in balance and feeling less alert. I had a friend who experienced feeling less alert and it scared the hell out of her.

I had a really bad reaction to Benadryl once. I felt like my throat was closing up, and I ended up in the ER. It's scary stuff. Definitely get this checked out by a professional.

That' can happen. It's always scary to think about allergic reactions. Most of the time, it’s just a minor reaction, but it's always important to pay attention to your body.

Sometimes our bodies change and react differently to the same medication. It’s worth trying a different antihistamine to see if it helps with the allergies without causing the rash. There are plenty of options out there.

Take a look at the list of side effects. It’s pretty extensive and can be overwhelming. It’s also important to note that some people might experience something not even listed. Make sure to report side effects to the FDA if they persist.

I've had similar issues with the rash before. It might just be a minor reaction that can be treated with hydrocortisone cream. It's worth mentioning to your doctor, but it might not be a major concern.

If it’s something you’ve taken for years, it might not be an allergic reaction. However, a rash can be a sign of sensitivity. Always better to err on the side of caution and see a doctor.

Diphenhydramine can cause really weird side effects. For some people, it causes them to feel more alert and nervous. It's weird how it affects different people in different ways. For me, it’s all about the drowsiness.
