I was recently prescribed Benztropine 1mg/ml Injection to help with muscle spasms caused by antipsychotic medication. However, I've been experiencing some side effects that I wasn't expecting. Does anyone have experience with this drug and have any advice? Specifically, I need to know how to manage the dry mouth and constipation. On top of that, does anyone know if these side effects will go away if I continue to take it or will I have to live with them?

So far, I haven't seen any of the more extreme side effects that are listed, but I'm curious about what others have experienced. I want to know if any of you have had hallucinations or severe changes in eyesight, as well as how to mitigate the potential risks. Also, any advice on how to stay cool and hydrated in hot weather with this medication would be greatly appreciated.

I've been researching and reading a lot about this medicine, but I just want to hear some firsthand experiences and extra tips on how to handle the Benztropine.

I take benztropine and i sweat like a pig. So thats good if you're worried about the other side effect. But yeah, the dry mouth was a bitch.

Just make sure to take it as prescribed. Don't go off half-cocked and mess up the dosage. Some of those side effects sound way worse than what I experienced

I have a friend who is a doctor and she says that the side effects are generally mild but to be safe call your doctor if you experience anything frightening.

My grandpa was on this stuff. Seemed to help with his Parkinson's but man, the side effects were rough. Try to stick it out if you can, though. Might be worth it.
