I've been prescribed Unithroid (Levothyroxine) 0.05mg (50mcg) tablets for about 6 months now, and it's been a bit of a roller coaster ride. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few years back, and my doctor started me on this medication to help manage my symptoms. Initially, I felt a significant improvement in my energy levels and overall mood. However, I've recently started experiencing some side effects that have me a bit concerned. I've noticed some hair loss, which the info says is temporary, but it's still worrying. Has anyone else experienced this or any other side effects? How did you manage them? I'm also curious about the experience of others who have been on Unithroid for a longer period. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

A friend of mine was prescribed Unithroid, and she had some serious side effects. She ended up switching to a different brand of levothyroxine. Might be worth considering if the side effects are too much to handle.

I’ve been on Unithroid for about a year now, and I have to say, it’s been life-changing. I had no idea how much better I could feel until I started taking it. My doctor said that levothyroxine is really good at regulating hormone levels, but it might take a while to find the right dosage.

Has anyone else had issues with weight gain while on Unithroid? I've been trying to manage it with diet and exercise, but it's been a struggle.

Unithroid has been a game-changer for me, but I had to find the right dosage. I started with 50mcg and had to bump it up to 75mcg to really see the difference. Just remember, everyone is different, so it might take some tweaking.

I think the best thing to do is to keep track of everything and communicate with your doctor. I keep a symptom journal and it's helped a lot. It can also be helpful to research other people's experiences, which is why I'm here!

I've been on Levothyroxine for a while and have had a pretty good experience overall. I did notice some anxiety early on, but it's gotten better with time. I also found it helpful to take the pill on an empty stomach and wait at least 30 minutes to an hour before eating. It can help with absorption.
