I've recently been prescribed Unithroid 0.137mg (137mcg) Tablets for hypothyroidism. It's been a big adjustment, and I'm curious to hear from others who are on this medication. How long did it take for you to feel better? I've been on it for a month and I'm still feeling pretty tired. Also, I've read about some side effects that are concerning, like changes in menstrual periods and mood swings. Has anyone else experienced these? I'm also wondering if anyone has tips on managing hair loss, as that's one of the side effects that really worries me. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

I had to stop taking Unithroid because of severe side effects. I ended up switching to a different medication, and it's been much better for me. Everyone is different, so don't give up if one medication doesn't work out.

I had terrible mood swings when I first started. But my doctor adjusted the dose, and now I feel much better. Stick with it, and work closely with your doctor.

I feel like this medication has been a lifesaver. I was constantly tired and gaining weight no matter what I did. Now, I have so much more energy and my metabolism feels back to normal.

Unithroid saved my life, literally. Before I was diagnosed, I was constantly tired, gained a ton of weight, and felt like I was always freezing. Now, I feel like a normal person again. It's a game-changer.

I've been on Unithroid for about 6 months now, and it took me about 2-3 months to start feeling better. It's a slow process, but it's worth it. I had some hair loss at the beginning, but it grew back after a few months. Hang in there.

I've read about taking iron supplements alongside Unithroid. Anyone found that helpful?

I feel like my hair is falling out more than usual. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm really worried.

Be careful with the dosage. I had to go through several adjustments before finding the right one. Also, make sure to take it on an empty stomach for maximum absorption.
