I've been struggling with really dry, thickened skin on my feet and elbows, and my doctor recommended Urea 40% Lotion. It's supposed to be a powerful moisturizer and skin softener, but I'm a bit worried about the possible side effects. Has anyone else used this, and if so, how did it go? Did you experience any burning or stinging? I'm also curious about how often you should apply it and for how long. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I absolutely avoided this one and would recommend anyone to do the same. This stuff made me feel like I had acid in my skin. I had to use a ton of moisturizing to get back to normal

I didn't know that burning or stinging could be side effects. I've been using it for a week, so I guess I'm lucky to not have these side effects yet.

I found that combining it with a good moisturizer really helped. I applied the Urea lotion first, let it absorb for about 10 minutes, and then applied a thick moisturizer on top. It worked wonders for my calluses and corns, but I have the bad habit of scratching and it's easy to hurt myself when I can't feel the skin

Sounds like you either love it or hate it. I've got the former experience, and it works great for me on my feet. I've never used it on my face though

Has anyone else noticed that it has a weird, almost chemical smell? It's not a deal-breaker for me, but it's definitely noticeable.

I've used this quite a bit and i've had zero side effects. It can leave a weird film on your skin, but it's a small price to pay for the benefits.

I've been using it for a few weeks and have seen some improvement in my skin. I do find that it works best when I apply it after a shower or bath, when my skin is still slightly damp. It helps to lock in the moisture, if you know what I mean. But when I forget to put it on and I do, my skin does feel like a crepe

I've been using Urea 40% Lotion for about a month now, and it's been a game-changer for my psoriasis. I apply it twice a day, morning and night, and my skin has started to feel much smoother and less itchy. I did experience some initial burning, but it went away after a few applications. Just make sure to apply a thin layer and let it absorb fully.

I think it's important to note that everyone's skin is different. I would definitely recommend talking to a doctor or dermatologist before trying any new treatment. Urea Lotion is pretty strong stuff

This stuff is amazing but stay away from your face! I accidentally got some on my face and it burned like a beast
