I ended up with a severe case of CDAD from Azithromycin. It was horrible – severe diarrhea, cramps, and I ended up in the hospital. If you get any diarrhea while on this, make sure to contact your doctor right away.
I think the side effects are overblown. I took Azithromycin for a week and didn’t have any issues. Just drink plenty of water and you should be fine.
I took Azithromycin for a different infection and had some mild diarrhea, but nothing too bad. Just make sure to stay hydrated if that happens.
I'm on Azithromycin right now and I have a terrible headache. I'm hoping it's just a side effect and not something serious. Fingers crossed!
I wish I'd known about the potential for severe allergic reactions before I took Azithromycin. It’s scary how quickly it can happen. If you get any signs, don't hesitate to go to the ER.
