I was administered Dextrose 70% Injection, 500ml, when I was admitted to a hospital. I've done some reading and was alarmed by the list of side effects. Has anyone had any of the severe side effects mentioned? How long did it take for you to recover? Was anyone able to live with the side effects or did you have to stop treatment? I'm trying to prepare for what might happen. It's scary not knowing much about this drug.

I think it’s great that you’re doing your research! Just remember that side effects are rare, but if you experience anything unusual, seek medical help right away. Better safe than sorry!

I've seen a few cases where patients had allergic reactions. It's important to be vigilant about those signs, especially if you have a history of allergies. If you notice any rash or itching, let your healthcare provider know immediately.

If you're feeling anxious, talk to your doctor. They can explain the risks and benefits clearly and answer any questions you have. It's always best to be informed.

I had a friend who had a severe reaction to this. They ended up with some really bad swelling and had to be treated with a different drug. Scary stuff, but thankfully rare.

I was surprised by how concentrated this solution is. It’s usually given slowly, but if you have any issues with fluid intake or output, make sure your medical team knows so they can adjust accordingly.

I had to have this treatment for a while. It's a bit scary the first time you see it, but the nurses will always check on you and make sure you're okay. I didn't have any issues, but I know it can be different for everyone.

The concentrated sugar solution can be a lifesaver in emergencies, but yeah, the side effects list is daunting. I work in healthcare, and I've seen patients have reactions ranging from mild to severe. Always important to have medical professionals monitoring closely.

I had this injection during a severe hypoglycemic episode. It was scary at first, but the nurse explained everything and monitored me closely. I didn't experience any severe side effects, thankfully.

The fluid and electrolyte issues can be pretty serious. I remember a patient who had severe confusion and muscle weakness. It's crucial to stay hydrated and monitor your electrolyte levels closely.

Ever get a severe dizziness episode with it? I've heard some horror stories but I have yet to have any issues. I've always had the IV in a specific slow drip kind of IV method.
