Novolin 70/30 U-100 Flexpen is a combination insulin that helps control blood sugar in people with diabetes. It contains two types of insulin: NPH (intermediate-acting) and Regular (short-acting). This combination helps manage blood sugar levels throughout the day and after meals. However, like any medication, it comes with potential side effects. I've been using it for a while and have a few tips and questions. What are some of the most common side effects you've experienced? How do you manage them? Also, does anyone have tips on how to minimize irritation at the injection site? My experience has been a mix of good and bad, and I'd love to hear from others who use this insulin.

This thread is a good reminder to stay vigilant. I've been on this insulin for a while and sometimes forget to check for lumps or irritation at the injection site. Thanks for the reminder!

I've had really good results with Novolin 70/30, but the weight gain has been a bit of a struggle. How does anyone else deal with this? Has anyone found a diet or exercise routine that helps?

I agree, the Flexpen is a game-changer. It's so much easier to use than the vials and needles. But I've had some issues with low blood sugar. Anyone have tips on how to manage that?

I've been using Novolin 70/30 for about a year now, and the most annoying side effect for me has been the irritation at the injection site. I've found that rotating injection sites and using a gentle cleanser helps a bit. Has anyone else found anything that works well?

Be careful with this insulin. I had a severe allergic reaction the first time I used it. It was terrifying, and I ended up in the ER. Luckily, my doctor switched me to a different insulin, and I've been fine ever since. Listen to your body and seek medical help if you feel something isn't right, please, and don't take any chances with allergies.

I had no idea about the low potassium symptoms. I've been feeling some muscle cramps lately, and I wonder if this could be the cause. This is a good reminder to pay attention to all the side effects, not just the obvious ones.

What's the deal with the swelling in arms or legs? I've never experienced this but it sounds like a good time to go to the doctor.

I actually find the Flexpen really convenient. It's easy to use and portable, which is great for when I'm on the go. But it's the first thing I've tried so I had no other real experience to compare to it.
