Have any of you been prescribed Venclexta for CLL or AML? I've been on it for a few weeks now, and I'm experiencing some side effects. I know it's common to have stomach issues, but I'm also feeling really tired and weak. I've read about Tumor Lysis Syndrome and it's worrying me. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you manage it? Also, I'm curious about the long-term effects. Anyone have any insights?

I'm on my third month and the side effects are brutal. I've had some pretty bad diarrhea and vomiting but it seems like the worst is over, thankfully. I’ve been seeing my oncologist every two weeks and they’ve been really helpful. The hardest part is feeling like you can’t do much besides sleep when you’re normally an active person!

I've been reading about the electrolyte issues and it’s really scary. I had a few episodes of confusion and muscle cramps, but nothing too serious. My doctor told me to drink plenty of fluids and keep track of my electrolyte levels. It's definitely a steep learning curve!

If you have sweating and shaking, check and call the doctor if it’s accompanied by a rapid heartbeat. My friend had it, so please call the doctor. It was a huge shock to me but it was temporary and treatable.

I got really bad mouth sores from Venclexta. I had to ask my doctor about it and they suggested a special mouthwash and some gels that helped a lot. I also had some weird bruises but the doctor said they were normal for the medication. It's a bummer but it's worth it if it's fighting the cancer.

I've been on Venclexta for a year now, and while the side effects were tough at first, they've gotten much more manageable. The exhaustion is real, but my doctor suggested some supplements that helped a bit. As for TLS, I had a scare early on, but my doc had me hydrated and monitored closely. It's scary, but with the right care, it can be managed. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Tumor Lysis Syndrome is the real deal. If you're feeling super weak, nauseous, or having trouble peeing, call your doctor immediately. It's better to be safe than sorry. I had a friend who got hit hard by it, but he’s fine now. Just stay vigilant.

I had read about the anemia and blood pressure changes. Blood pressure medications can help with it. But I got yellow skin and dark urine only once. It’s scary but it’s temporary. Just keep a thermometer and a blood pressure monitor around to be sure to be safe.

I found that the dizziness and headaches were the hardest to deal with. I’ve noticed that I get them after taking the pills in the morning but it’s better if I take them in the evening. If you’re feeling the same way, you might want to ask your doctor to switch times.

Just want to say, I'm really sorry to hear about everyone's struggles. It's tough, but we're all in this together. Hang in there, everyone!
