I was recently prescribed Vilazodone 40mg tablets to treat my depression. I've been taking it for a few weeks now and have noticed some improvements in my mood, but I've also experienced some side effects. Has anyone experienced sexual side effects? I've heard it can cause problems like decreased interest in sex and trouble getting an erection. It's something I'm really worried about.
For me, the biggest issue was the dry mouth. It was so bad at times that I had to keep a water bottle with me all the time. But overall, the improvement in my mood made it worth it. Also, nail biting is a classic sign of serotonin problems. Be careful!
I started Vilazodone and within a week I had a really serious reaction. I noticed my urine was blood red and I started to panic. My doctor said it was a rare side effect... Better safe than sorry I guess?
I had a really bad reaction to Vilazodone. I started getting severe headaches and feeling very confused. I called my doctor right away and he took me off it. I had to switch to something else, but it was a bit of a rough transition.
