I was recently prescribed Vizimpro 30mg Tablets for my non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR mutations. This drug has a lot of information to digest, especially concerning possible side effects. What are your experiences, have you had any serious reactions? The severe side effects list is scary and I want to know how to manage this if it comes up.

I've been on Vizimpro for a few months now, and the worst side effects for me have been the mouth sores and dry skin. My doctor recommended a good lip balm and using a humidifier at night, those two things really help! The constipation was also an issue, but thanks to diet changes, I've managed to keep that in check. I was really scared of the severe side effects but thankfully haven't experienced any of those yet.

I had a similar experience with the mouth sores, but I found that using a soft toothbrush and a gentle mouthwash made a big difference. I've also been taking probiotics to help with the upset stomach, and it seems to be helping. I've not had any issues with hair loss but I know others have, so it's different for everyone. One strange thing I've noticed, is that my favorite foods have started to taste different - not sure if this is a side effect of the meds or just my body changing in general.

I've been pretty lucky and haven’t experienced any of the severe side effects mentioned. Just some nausea and fatigue, but I’ve adapted by taking smaller portions and eating more frequently. My doctor advised me to take it easy and listen to my body, and so far, so good. I would definitely recommend keeping a journal of what comes up and the times so you can chat with your doc about it.

Just a heads up, if anyone experiences any lung problems, definitely don’t wait it out. I had some shortness of breath and thought it was just anxiety, but it turned out to be a side effect. Got it checked out immediately and it was fine but could have been serious so it's better to be safe!
