Vyvanse 10mg Chewable Tablets: My Experience with ADHD and Binge Eating Disorder Management

Been on Vyvanse for a few years now, and it's helped me immensely with my ADHD. I started with 10mg chewable and now take 50mg sprinkle. I was worried about the potential side effects, especially the heart-related ones since I have a family history of heart disease. But so far, so good. I regularly monitor my heart rate and blood pressure, and I have no issues. Definitely worth talking to your doctor about any concerns you have.

Vyvanse has been a game-changer for me. I started with 30mg and now I'm down to 10mg. The lower dose has helped me focus more at work and feel less jittery. I've also noticed a significant reduction in my binge eating episodes. However, I did experience some side effects initially, like a loss of appetite and trouble sleeping. My doctor advised me to take it in the morning and eat regularly, which helped a lot. Have any of you tried adjusting your diet or routine to mitigate side effects?

My doctor prescribed Vyvanse, but I have a pre-existing heart condition. Is anyone else in the same boat? I'm a bit nervous about the potential heart-related side effects. Any advice on how to manage this? Also, how did you approach your doctor about this concern?

Side effects which were not mentioned for Vyvanse were the bad ones. I was taking Vyvanse for about 2 months 10mg dose. I had severe side effects like hallucinations, seizures, and muscle twitching and stiffness. I have been hospitalized for this condition multiple times.

I'm really nervous about the serotonin syndrome side effects. I take a few other medications, and I'm worried about the risk. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Did your doctor provide any guidance on managing this risk?

My friend was taking Vyvanse but they had to switch to Strattera because of the side effects. They said it was really hard to find another medication that worked as well. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Vyvanse? And how did you manage to find a better alternative?

I've noticed that Vyvanse makes me feel a bit jittery, which is annoying, but it's definitely better than the constant bouncing around and excessive talking that happens when I'm off meds.

Vyvanse has been great for me. I've had minimal side effects so far besides some upset stomach. I find that taking it with food helps a lot. My only complaint is that it makes my mouth really dry. I've been using Listerine strips to keep my mouth moist. If anyone else has tips for dealing with dry mouth, let me know!

I wish I could take Vyvanse. My health insurance doesn't cover it, and it's way too expensive. Anyone else dealing with insurance issues? How did you manage to get it covered? I'd really like to know more about getting access to Vyvanse if it is covered by insurance.
