I've been on Vyvanse 20mg for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for my ADHD and binge eating. The focus and impulse control have improved dramatically, and the conversion to dextroamphetamine in my body makes it smooth and long-lasting. However, I've had some mild side effects like dry mouth and trouble sleeping, but nothing too bad. I was worried about the serious side effects, but so far, so good. I've heard good things about it for BED too. Anyone else experience similar effects?

I've heard Vyvanse can be great for BED, but I wish there was more information out there about it. I'm thinking of trying it, but I'm a bit hesitant. Has anyone had good/bad experiences with it for BED?

Just want to throw in a reminder to be careful with this stuff. I know someone who ended up in the ER with a fast heartbeat and high blood pressure. They had to stop taking it. It's not a joke, y'all.

I was on Vyvanse for a while, but it made me lose my appetite completely. I didn't realize how much it would affect my eating until I started dropping weight rapidly. Just something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to appetite changes.

I switched from Adderall to Vyvanse and it was the best decision I ever made. No more horrible Adderall comedowns, just a steady, smooth day. Plus, it's helped with my binge eating. The side effects have been minimal for me, just some occasional anxiety, but nothing I can't handle.

I've been worried about the serious side effects too, but my doctor assured me they're rare. As long as I don't have any heart issues or family history of sudden death, I should be fine. But definitely talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.

The prodrug thing is interesting. I didn't know it converted to dextroamphetamine in the body. That's why it's smoother than other stimulants. Thanks for the info, OP!

For those experiencing side effects, have you tried adjusting your dosage or timing? My doc had me take it earlier in the day and it helped with the sleep issues. Also, drink lots of water for the dry mouth!

I tried Vyvanse for a month, but the side effects were too much for me. I had really bad insomnia and my heart would race sometimes. I had to switch back to my old meds. But I know it works for a lot of people, so it's worth trying if you're struggling. Just keep an eye on those side effects.

I can't believe how expensive Vyvanse is! I pay $300 a month for my script. It's ridiculous. Insurance doesn't cover it either, so I have to pay out of pocket. Anyone else in the same boat?

I've been on Vyvanse for a year and it's helped incredibly with my ADHD. The prodrug thing is neat - it really does smooth out the effects. Just be careful, the side effects can be tricky. I get jittery sometimes.
