Hey all, I've been prescribed Zyloprim 100mg Tablets (generic Allopurinol) to manage my gout. My doc gave me a heads-up about some serious side effects. I'm a bit worried. The urgent ones are scary — I cannot risk an allergic reaction or kidney problems. Even the common ones like drowsiness and diarrhea sound rough. Anyone else on this and how have you handled it? How closely should I monitor my symptoms? Is it really that common to have these serious issues? I want to stay informed.

I think it's important to mention that if you experience any of the severe skin reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome, you need to get to a hospital ASAP. It can be life-threatening. Don't mess around with that stuff.

I get really tired and sleepy. The drowsiness is actually nice sometimes. I just make sure I don't drive or anything.

If you start feeling really weak or tired and you're experiencing any of the signs of low blood cell counts, you should get a checkup right away!

I had some pretty bad joint pain when I first started Zyloprim. It turned out I was allergic to it.

Be careful with this stuff. I've heard too many horror stories from people who weren't payed attention to their symptoms. I've had to do some online reporting myself, it's not fun.

I've never had gout or kidney stones, but I've heard that this drug doesn't give anyone a problem unless you're allergic. I've taken a lot of meds and so far, I've never had any issues. Maybe you're lucky like me?

I've been on Zyloprim for a few years now, and it's been a game-changer for my gout. I haven't had any serious side effects, but everyone is different. Just keep an eye on how you feel and talk to your doctor regularly. Don't hesitate to reach out if you notice anything unusual, it's hard to overstate how important communicating with your doctor is.

Ugh, I had such a bad experience with Zyloprim. I ended up with a weird rash and some pretty bad nausea, but it got decent quickly. Overall it helped my gout a lot but the side effects were scary. I switched to another med, and it's been better so far. Luckily, not everyone gets side effects, I hope you do better!
