I've been using Diprolene 0.05% Ointment (betamethasone) for my psoriasis, and it's been a lifesaver in terms of reducing redness, itching, and swelling. But, I just read the list of rare but potentially life-threatening side effects, and I'm pretty shook up. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I know side effects are rare, but the list is pretty scary. What do you all think? Should we be extra careful with this stuff?

My dermatologist was super thorough about the side effects. He said that most people can use Diprolene without any issues. That being said, if you start to feel like something's off, he wants me to call him right away. He's been really helpful!

I've been on it for a year and haven't seen any side effects. I also asked my doctor about this, and he said it's rare but to be aware of the symptoms.

I've been using Diprolene for a while now, and it's made a huge difference in my eczema. However, I've been keeping a close eye on the side effects, especially the ones related to a weakened adrenal gland. It's scary stuff, but I'm hoping that by being vigilant, I can avoid any issues. My doctor recommends regular check-ups to monitor for any adverse effects. I definitely think it's worth it for me.

I noticed some burning and stinging when I first started using it, but it went away after a few days. I’ve had no other side effects, thank goodness. I think it’s worth discussing with your doctor if you experience any discomfort..

Aren't all medications kind of scary once you start reading the side effects? I've used this stuff on and off for years. It's never caused me any problems aside from a little dry skin. I figure as long as I'm not abusing it, I should be okay.

I had a friend who used this and ended up with Cushing's syndrome. It's rare, but it can happen. Please be careful, folks. If you start noticing symptoms, stop using it and talk to your doctor. Better safe than sorry!

Has anyone tried alternative treatments? I'm curious if there are any natural remedies that can help with eczema. I'm not too keen on using something that could cause so many issues.

I've heard of people having weird skin reactions too. I guess it's one of those things where you have to weigh the pros and cons. If it's working for you, it might be worth the risk. But if you start feeling weird, definitely check with your doctor.
