I recently started taking Histex 2.5mg/5ml Syrup for my allergies, and while it has helped with sneezing and a runny nose, I've been experiencing some unusual side effects. I've read the symptoms of an allergic reaction, and it got me worried. Especially the part about swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. Has anyone else had any serious reactions? Is anyone else concerned? Is it scary . I've also been feeling really sleepy and a bit nervous, which is kind of annoying. Also: Is it normal to feel nervous and excited at the same time? I want to know if I should continue taking it or if I should talk to my doctor about switching medications. What should I do? This is pretty urgent. I can't believe how severe some of these side effects can be. I just want some advice from people who might have gone through this.

If you're experiencing severe side effects, it's important to report them to the FDA. You can do it online. It's not just for you; It helps others who might be taking the same medication. Contains valuable data.

I had a bad reaction to Histex a few years ago. I woke up with hives all over my body and my throat felt tight. It was terrifying. I had to go to the ER and they told me to stop taking it immediately. I switched to a different antihistamine and haven't had any issues since. If you're feeling uneasy, trust your instincts and talk to your doctor.

Have you tried any natural remedies? I find that using a neti pot and nasal irrigation helps clear out my sinuses without any side effects. You could give those a try, you might find that you don't need medication to deal with your symptoms. But since you are already experiencing the side effects, it might be too little too late.

I’ve been having trouble finding a good antihistamine that doesn’t make me drowsy. Histex was okay, but the side effects were a bit much. I think I’m going to switch to something else. Any recommendations from the community would be great!

I've been taking Histex for a while now, and I haven't had any severe side effects. Just a bit of drowsiness, but it's manageable. I would definitely talk to your doctor about the nervousness and excitement though—it sounds unusual. It's always better to be safe.
