So if I notice dark urine or yellow skin, I should head to the ER?
I've been on Nylia 7/7/7 for about a year now, and while I haven't experienced any severe side effects, I did have some heavy spotting and minor headaches during the first few months. I made sure to call my doctor and she adjusted the dosage for me. It resolved after a few weeks. Always good to keep your doctor in the loop.
Very informative. One thing I would add is that it's important to take these pills at the same time everyday. It helps with prevention and can help minimize side effects. I have a daily reminder on my phone so I never forget.
Side effects are tough, but from my experience, it's all about finding the right birth control method. I tried several before settling on a different pill and overall I prefer the NuvaRing. I'd say give it a few months and if you still feel uncomfortable, talk to your OB about switching to something else.
I switched from Nylia 7/7/7 to a different pill after experiencing severe breast pain. My doctor recommended a different brand with lower hormone levels and it's been much better.
