I recently started taking Welireg 40mg Tablets to treat tumors associated with Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease. The medication is designed to block the HIF-2α protein, which helps shrink or slow the growth of these tumors. However, I've been experiencing some side effects and was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. The most concerning are the serious side effects like high blood pressure and electrolyte problems. Have any of you dealt with these issues? Additionally, I'd appreciate any tips on managing the more common side effects like fatigue and headaches.

It's really important to keep a close eye on your blood pressure while taking Welireg. I got a home blood pressure monitor and check it daily. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it gives me peace of mind.

I've noticed some weight gain and decreased appetite, which is frustrating since I can't seem to find any balance. Has anyone else dealt with this?

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's scary how different people can react so differently to the same medication.

This is good to hear. The more I read about it the more I realise that everyone is affected differently. So far, I have found that the common cold signs seem to get worse and worse over time. Yet, other side effects seem to stay the same.

I don't think it's worth it.

This is great to hear as it often takes some time to adjust to these new medications.

I've been on Welireg for a few months now, and the fatigue has been brutal. I've found that regular exercise helps keep my energy levels up. However, I did experience some dizziness and muscle cramps initially, which subsided after a few weeks.

I've been dealing with electrolyte problems, and it's been a nightmare. Erratic heart rate, muscle spasms, and constant confusion. My doctor recommended some lifestyle changes like increasing potassium and magnesium intake through diet. But, It's a tough one - it's not easy to stick to this new dietary regime. Have any of you dealt with this?
