I've been prescribed Dexamethasone 6mg Tablets for my severe asthma. I understand it helps reduce inflammation and calms the immune system, but I'm concerned about the long-term effects. I've heard it can have serious side effects like high blood pressure and weakened adrenal glands. Has anyone else had experience with this medication long-term? What should I watch out for? My doctor assured me it's safe, but I want to hear from others who have been in similar situations.

I've had issues with insomnia and excessive sweating. It's a tough balance between managing asthma and dealing with the side effects. Make sure you talk to your doctor about any changes you notice.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the serious side effects are rare. I've been fine so far, but everyone's different. Good luck!

I've been taking it for a few months, I didn't know about the weight gain and belly fat. Thanks for the heads up!

I've been on Dexamethasone for a few years, and while it's managed my asthma well, I've noticed some weight gain and mood swings. Always good to keep an eye on your blood pressure and cholesterol levels too.

What about the risk of Cushing's syndrome? That's a scary one. Have any of you experienced that?

I stopped taking it because it made me feel like a zombie. I’d rather deal with the asthma than the side effects.

I've noticed some muscle weakness and fatigue. It's hard to tell if it's from the Dexamethasone or just the asthma itself. Anyone else?

I've been lucky so far—I haven't had any serious side effects, but I'm always on the lookout. Regular check-ups with my doctor have been crucial.

Dexamethasone has been a lifesaver for my asthma, but I've had to manage increased appetite and hiccups. It's worth it for the relief it provides, but definitely keep an eye on those side effects.
