I've recently been prescribed D-Amphetamine Salt Combo 30mg Tabs for ADHD and narcolepsy. The medication works by affecting certain natural chemicals in the brain that are involved in impulse control and hyperactivity. However I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. I've heard that some people experience severe reactions, including signs of an allergic reaction like rash, hives, and difficulty breathing. These symptoms sound scary, and I'm wondering if anyone has encountered them or has tips on managing anxiety around these risks. I also noticed that there are heart-related issues to be aware of, such as chest pain and abnormal heartbeat. Has anyone with a family history of heart problems taken this medication? How did it go for you? I'd appreciate any insights or advice from those who have been through similar experiences. It's also important to know the less serious side effects so you can distinguish between what is normal and what is not.

Be careful with the heart-related stuff. My friend had to stop taking it because of an abnormal heartbeat.

I've been on this medication for a few months and haven't experienced any serious side effects. Just some mild headaches and trouble sleeping, but nothing too bad.

Side effects can vary a lot from person to person. Just make sure to stay in touch with your doctor and report anything unusual.

I had a mild allergic reaction at first—just some itching and a slight rash. My doctor said it was normal and adjusted the dosage. Now I'm doing fine.

I switched to this med from something else after suffering from drowsiness all day. This seems to be a game-changer, but I do have trouble sleeping sometimes, when I take it in the afternoon.

Don't let the list of side effects scare you. A lot of people take this and do just fine. But yes, be aware and communicate with your doctor.

I wish I could give you a definitive answer but I haven't experienced anything serious yet. Just stay vigilant and report any issues to your doctor.
