I was prescribed Chlorpromazine 10mg Tablets to help manage some anxiety and nausea issues. I've read about the common and serious side effects, but I'm honestly a bit scared to start taking them. Has anyone had experience with these meds? What were your side effects, if any? Did you experience Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS) or Tardive Dyskinesia? How long did it take to notice any changes or symptoms? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

My friend had a bad experience with it. Constant dizziness and hallucinations (no joke). Definitely not worth it for her. But everyone is different, I guess. Just be careful.

Just a heads up, the dry mouth was the worst for me. Like, cotton mouth for days. I was drinking water all the time. I got used to it, but it was a pain to begin with. I also noticed drowsiness. I also have to report that I never experienced any of those serious side effects though.

I think a lot of people don't realize how serious the side effects can be. I've heard horror stories about NMS and Tardive Dyskinesia. If you start experiencing any of those symptoms, get to a doctor ASAP.

I can't imagine dealing with those side effects while I'm trying to function. I would be a wreck. I'm sorry that anyone has to go through that. The upside is that this medication does help with mental health.

I had to stop taking it because of the side effects. I felt extremely weak and tired all the time, and I also experienced some vision changes. It was really scary. My doctor switched me to something else, and I'm doing much better now. Just be careful and pay attention to your body.
