I've been taking Durahist 2-60mg Tablets for a few days now to deal with my nasty cold. The drug combines an antihistamine (dexbrompheniramine) and a decongestant (pseudoephedrine) to help relieve symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and stuffy nose. However, I'm experiencing some dizziness and feeling jittery, which isn't great. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar side effects and whether I should be concerned. The package insert mentions some serious side effects like severe allergic reactions and high blood pressure, which are scary to think about. Has anyone else had any really bad reactions to this medication? How do I decide when I should just grit my teeth and deal with the side effects vs. calling the doctor?

I think it's worth calling your doctor if you're feeling really bad. Better safe than sorry, right? Sometimes meds just don't agree with us.

My Mom took this and ended up with hives and swelling. Scary stuff! I'd be really careful with this one. It's probably not worth the risk.

I had dizziness too. I usually take a smaller dose. I know it may not be as effective, but I'd rather have a slightly stuffy nose and be able to function normally.

I took Durahist once and ended up with a massive headache. It was the worst headache I've ever had. I won't be taking it again. Be careful!
