I recently started giving my 2 year old Florvite 0.25mg Drops, a liquid vitamin supplement with a small amount of fluoride for tooth enamel protection. So far, I've not seen any side effects, but I worry about the potential allergic reactions and tooth changes mentioned in the packaging. Has anyone else used this? I want to know your experiences and thoughts. Especially if anyone has experience with the water not having fluoride.

Supplements are crucial for young kids to give their immune system a boost so it can fight off bugs and viruses. If it has fluoride, that's just an added bonus, as long as it's not too much.

My pediatrician told me that kids need a lot of vitamins this age, and the best way to get them is through solid foods. The kiddo usually needs to be 3 or 4, and even then I'd go for chewable. Not sure why the fluoride is necessary here.

I've seen a few kids with dental fluorosis, and it's not pretty. I would definitely talk to a dentist before giving your kid extra fluoride.

I've been using Florvite for my 3-year-old for about six months now. No issues so far. My pediatrician recommended it, and my kid loves the taste. I know that fluoride is important for teeth, and the dosage is tiny so it's safe, but it's always good to be on the watch out for allergies..

I'm currently using these drops for my 18 month old and they are fine. They're actually quite handy, and the kids seems to like them. I think the dosage is right so no worries about any side effects.

I used to give my kid vitamins, but now I just try to make sure she eats a balanced diet. I've heard it's good to give them what they need and avoid supplementing so their body doesn't get used to getting it.

I never had any issues, and this product with fluoride saved us a lot of time and money with trips to the dentist. If your water is not fluoridated, I highly recommend it.

I never used this for my kids. I would get a multivitamin tablet that was sugar free and melts in their mouth. Water in my area is fluoridated, so I didn't bother with the added fluoride.
