I've been given Etomidate before some procedures and it worked fast! I heard it's safe for heart and pressure but I've heard a few people talk about some scary side effects. Has anyone else experienced any of the side effects listed or had any serious complications after using Amidate? I'm really curious to hear from people who've had different experiences with this!

I've had it a few times and never had any problems. Not sure why people are so worried, but I guess it's good to know the side effects just in case. Did anyone else feel any pain at the injection site?

I had a weird experience with it. I started twitching uncontrollably and could barely move. Spooky stuff. I felt like I was having an out-of-body experience.

I had a bad reaction to it once. I woke up mid-procedure — nightmare! I’d never want to go through that again!

I'm a nursing student and we cover Amidate in our studies. It's often used in emergency situations because of its fast onset and minimal cardiac effects. But yeah, the side effects are nothing to scoff at. Always good to be prepared.

Etomidate has been a lifesaver for me during surgeries. It puts you to sleep super fast and doesn't mess with your heart rate or blood pressure. I didn't even feel dizzy afterwards. I don't know why more hospitals don't use it.

I've had Amidate for two surgeries now and both times I had trouble controlling my eye movements. It was really weird and disorienting.

I had a severe allergic reaction to etomidate. I had hives all over my body and couldn't breathe properly. It was terrifying. The medical team had to act quickly to stabilize me. I had no idea it could cause such severe reactions. Thank God I was surrounded by professionals!

I've only ever seen it used in surgeries where quick onset was crucial. It's a bit more finicky to administer, but the benefits often outweigh the risks. Always check the patient's allergies thoroughly beforehand!

I got it for a minor procedure and it was fine. I didn't feel anything and woke up feeling just drowsy. My dad's a doctor and he says it's a good drug but doctors should be careful with the dosage.

I can't believe how fast I was put under. Definitely a good drug but I'm sure it's not without its risks. Thanks for sharing your honest experiences!
