I've recently been prescribed Tiagabine 12mg Tablets to help manage my seizures. I'm looking for any experiences that others might have had with this medication. Specifically, I'm curious about how well it works, how severe the side effects can be, and if there are any tips for managing them. I've read some of the urgent side effects can be pretty serious, so any personal insights on how to handle those would be great. Also, I've heard conflicting information about how well it works. Everyone I've talked to has had a different opinion so far. Does anyone have any science-based info that I can refer to as well?

I've been on this for years and honestly it has helped a lot. I’ve had to deal with some ups and downs when adjusting my dosage. But overall, I would recommend giving it a try and then adjusting as needed. You will probably need to stick with the routine though; nothing is perfect. If I have to manage my life around it, it's worth it for me to have fewer seizures overall. Start slow but stick with it and talk to your doctor.

I remember someone in my support group saying that Tiagabine really helped control their seizures, but they had to deal with some pretty bad side effects at first. It got better after a few months though. Just a heads up.

Be careful with this one. I had a really bad reaction to it. I ended up in the ER with some scary skin reactions. I was also pretty confused and had a hard time focusing. Definitely worth discussing with your doctor to make sure it's the right choice.

I think a lot of it depends on your body and how you react to it. For me, it was a lifesaver. The worst side effect I had was some trouble sleeping, but that went away after a month. It's worth it if you suffer from seizures. Always check with your doctor but give it a chance if it's an option for you.

I had a really bad experience with Tiagabine years ago. I developed a severe skin reaction and ended up in the hospital. It was terrifying. I've been cautious about seizure meds ever since. Definitely keep an eye out for any skin issues.
