I've been prescribed Torsemide 100mg for my heart failure and I've been feeling pretty good! This is a 'water pill' (diuretic) that helps get rid of extra salt and water. My swelling has gone down a lot, but I have to admit, I have had some really bad side effects. My doctor mentioned some pretty serious urgent side effects that might happen to me, like severe dizziness, fainting, hearing loss, and swelling, but I haven't had any of that (yet, knock on wood). What have you experienced? How bad were the initial side effects? What have you done to cope with them, and has the medication helped you overall? Let me know!

I've been on Torsemide for a few years now, and I haven't had any serious side effects. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and eat a balanced diet. I feel better than I have since my diagnosis! None of these side effects are worth it in the slightest!

I had a really bad reaction to Torsemide. I couldn't stop puking and felt like I was going to pass out. My doctor switched me to something else, and I've been fine since. Be careful out there, folks.

I switched to Torsemide from Lasix, and I've had way fewer side effects. I would give anything to switch back though. I have had some severe cramps, which I guess are from the salt and water loss. Has anyone found anything that helps?

I've been taking Torsemide for a while. Maybe you should be eating a little more potassium and sodium. You don't want to give yourself a heart attack from electrolytes being off!

I switched to a lower dose and that helped with the side effects. Maybe that's an option for you?

I've been on Torsemide for about a year now, and it's been a life-saver. No serious side effects for me, just occasional dizziness. Make sure you stay hydrated and monitor your electrolyte levels!

I've had some hearing loss since starting Torsemide. I'm not sure it's caused by the medication, but it's scary nonetheless. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you cope? Please help!

I had no idea Torsemide could cause hearing loss! I've been taking it for a while now, and I haven't noticed any issues, but I'll definitely keep an eye out. Thanks for the heads-up, everyone! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks it's nuts the hearing loss is a side effect. I would rather just be a bit swollen!

I've had some weird mood swings since starting Torsemide. I'm not sure if it's the medication or just me. I think I might need to talk to my doctor about it.

I've been on this for a few months and my swollen legs have gone down to a normal size. I just hope that the side effects don't get worse! Has anyone else had this happen to them? How did you deal with the side effects?
