I have been prescribed Zidovudine 10mg/ml Syrup for the treatment of HIV. I'm curious to hear from others who are also taking this medication. How has it affected your immune system and overall health? Have you experienced any of the severe side effects, such as allergic reactions, liver problems, or lactic acidosis? I'm pregnant and was prescribed Zidovudine to prevent passing HIV to my baby. It's been stressful, but I'm hoping it works. I know the medication can be tough on children. Have you had any issues with your immune system?
My partner used it and it worked well. Will I experience the same side effects as her?
I experienced some nausea and vomiting when I started, but it went away after a few weeks. I think it's a great medicine, it's working well with children.
I take it to prevent spreading HIV to my baby. I never use it for my child. My doctor prescribed it to me early in the pregnancy, it’s been a little hard for me, but I’m hoping the medication is working. It's very simple, but a bit difficult to swallow.
