If you're worried about side effects, maybe talk to your doctor about starting with a lower dose and seeing how you react. It's always better to be safe.
I had to use these for a long car ride and they worked like a charm. I didn't experience any major side effects, just a bit of drowsiness. Definitely worth it if you're really struggling with motion sickness.
I've heard that Neurologic Malignant Syndrome has low incidence but high mortality. If you have to take these, hope for the best, prepare for the worst by knowing the signs.
