I've been prescribed Aggrastat 5mg/100ml Inj, 100ml for an upcoming heart procedure. I know it stops platelets from sticking together to prevent blood clots, but I'm worried about that. How does it work exactly and what are the risks? The possible side effects seem scary, especially the urgent ones. How common are these side effects? Has anyone here had experience with this drug? What was it like? I want to be prepared and know what to expect.

No, my stay was about average. They monitored me closely, and everything went smoothly.

I've seen this drug used in emergencies. It's a powerful tool, but like any other, it has its downsides. My advice is to trust your medical team and focus on the benefits. Remember that the procedure itself carries risks, and this drug is part of managing those risks.

Did anyone have to stay longer in the hospital due to side effects?

Yikes, those side effects sound terrifying. Maybe I should look into alternatives?
