I've been living in Singapore for the past 3 years, and while it's a beautiful, modern city with plenty of opportunities, there are also some challenges. I'm curious to hear from others who have lived here or are considering it. Some of the pros I've experienced include the efficient public transportation, delicious food, and cultural diversity. However, the cons can be tough: high cost of living, strict laws, and intense humidity. I'm also surprised by how quiet and peaceful it can be despite being a bustling city. What are your experiences or thoughts about living in Singapore?

I used to live in a condo in the East Coast area, and one of my favorite things was being able to walk to East Coast Park. It's a great place for a picnic or a morning run. Plus, the views of the sea are amazing. Overall, I miss Singapore and all the little things that made it special.

Another thing to consider is the weather. It rains a lot, but it's usually a quick downpour. And the rain is very hot, so it doesn't cool you down! On the plus side, the tropics mean you can enjoy year-round warm weather, ideal if you hate winter frost.

I agree with you on the humidity. It's brutal, but the efficient MRT system is a game-changer. Plus, the safety here is unbeatable. I've never felt safer walking around at night.

Public transportation is indeed a plus. I've lived in Singapore for 5 years, and I love how easy it is to get around without a car. You can go anywhere from any part of the island via train or bus! The only downside is the lack of greenery in the city centre – you have to head to the parks or gardens to find some peace and nature.

The job market is pretty competitive, but there are opportunities, especially in finance, tech, and healthcare. Accommodation can be tricky, especially if you're on a budget. Consider staying in areas like Geylang or Tiong Bahru for more affordable options.

The food is definitely a highlight! Hainanese chicken rice is a must-try. But yeah, the cost of living is no joke. I live in a small apartment and it feels like I’m always paying for something.
