I'm starting Alimta 500mg Inj (Pemetrexed) for my lung cancer treatment and I'm feeling a bit nervous. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'd love to hear from others who have been through this. What were your experiences like? Did you face any serious side effects, and if so, how did you cope? How did the infusion feel? We can talk about anything related to this treatment from before, during, and after the treatment.

I went through this treatment last year. The side effects were rough, but manageable. Fatigue and nausea were the worst for me. Stay hydrated, and talk to your doctor about anti-nausea meds.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Remember, it's okay to ask for help when you need it. You've got this!

My mom went through this and she's had to deal with some of the worst side effects from the list, but she's better now. Take it one day at a time. Also, you can report side effects to the FDA for help.

Ask your doctor about getting a port for the infusions. It makes the process a lot easier and less painful than repeated IV insertions.

I'm scared of the blood and stuff, but I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to fight this. I'm just trying to be optimistic and positive.

This is why I hate chemotherapy. Why can't we have something better?
