I recently underwent a methacholine challenge test using Provocholine 100mg Solution, and I must say, it was quite an experience. For those unaware, this test is used to determine if your airways are overly sensitive, which can indicate asthma or other breathing issues. The procedure involves inhaling increasing amounts of the medication, and your breathing is monitored after each dose. While the test itself can cause temporary shortness of breath or coughing, it's important to understand the potential side effects and how to manage them. I wanted to share my experience and learn from others who have gone through this. How did your test go? What were your initial thoughts and feelings during the test?

I had a similar experience. The worst part was the shortness of breath and coughing. It was scary at first, but knowing it was temporary helped. I also experienced a bit of throat irritation afterwards.

I thought the hardest part would be the actual test, but it was the waiting for results that really got to me. Tension relief when results were negative!

I had my test last week and felt a bit dizzy afterward. The doctors recommended staying hydrated and resting, which helped a lot.

Tough test, but necessary. I think it’s really important to report any unusual symptoms to your doctor, like rash or hives. The more data, the better.

The test was intense for me. I remember feeling a bit anxious before it started, but the medical staff were very reassuring. The first few doses were manageable, but as the doses increased, I definitely felt my breathing getting harder. I was surprised by how quickly my chest tightened, but they monitored me closely and stopped the test as soon as it was clear I was reacting.
