So, I've been prescribed Nitroglycerin 0.4mg Sublingual Tablets for angina and I have no idea what to expect. I feel like I've heard some crazy stuff about these but I'm really not sure what to believe. The doctor gave me a quick rundown but I want to know all the details from some real-life experience. What are the expected side effects? How long does it take to work? Should I be worried about any long-term effects? I'm a bit nervous to try it, so any help or reassurance is appreciated!

Just be careful and don't just take it willy-nilly

The fact that you can feel it working is a bit weird but honestly, it's a relief. The tingling in your mouth and the feeling of warmth in your chest is the Nitroglycerin working, you get used to it. You can almost feel your vessels relaxing

I've had to learn a lot about these. Be sure to follow your doctor's instructions. Make sure you keep it in its container and follow the storage instructions. You must check the expiration date and replace the container if it is damaged.

I've been on these for a few years now, and the only side effect I get is a mild headache. I just take a couple of Tylenol and I'm good to go. It's a small price to pay for the relief these tablets bring.

I've been taking these for a while, and the first time I took them I was startled by the quick relief. I had to sit down right after I took it because the first time I got a bit dizzy, but you get used to it.
