I was recently prescribed Dexamethasone Sod Phos Inj, 10 ml for severe allergies. I've read that it's a powerful anti-inflammatory, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. I've heard it can cause some serious issues like Cushing's syndrome and high blood sugar. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What were your experiences like? I want to know what I should look out for and any tips for managing side effects would be great.

I'm also curious about how quickly it works and how long the effects last. I'm hoping it helps with my allergies, but I want to be prepared for any potential downsides as well. Thanks in advance for any insights!

I was prescribed this for an autoimmune condition. It worked wonders, but I gained weight and had some weird skin changes. Make sure to monitor your blood sugar and blood pressure. My doctor kept an eye on me closely, and I had regular check-ups to monitor my cortisol levels, too.

If you experience any severe side effects, definitely contact your doctor right away. This medicine is powerful, so it can have some serious side effects.

Be prepared for some insomnia. I got almost no sleep for a few nights, but the allergic reaction was worse. Hope you feel better soon!

This medication is a lifesaver in critical situations. But do be warned, it can cause some serious issues like hyperglycemia and mood changes. I got really irritable and had trouble sleeping. Talk to your doc right away if you experience anything serious.

Dexamethasone definitely helped my asthma flare-ups. It worked quickly, but I also had some trouble sleeping and felt a bit jittery. Definitely talk to your doctor about managing side effects.

This sounds like a bummer, good luck!

I had to take this for a severe allergic reaction and it saved my life. But yeah, the side effects are no joke. Stay hydrated and rest as much as you can. Oh, and watch out for mood swings! It can make you feel a bit wonky.

I actually prefer oral corticosteroids, but liquid Dex is worth it for extreme inflammation. I had to deal with some weight gain and mood swings, but it was manageable with exercise and a balanced diet. Plus, the doctor monitored my progress closely.

You're definitely on the right track. It's all about weighing the benefits against the risks.
