I was just prescribed Dextroamphetamine 2.5mg Tablets for my ADHD, and I'm feeling a bit nervous. Has anyone here taken this medication for ADHD or narcolepsy? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. The possible side effects list is quite long, and I'm wondering if the actual side effects are manageable or if there are any tips for minimizing them. Also, how does it compare to other stimulants like Adderall or Ritalin? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Dextroamphetamine for a couple of months now and it's been a game-changer for my ADHD. The side effects were tough at first—mainly trouble sleeping and some anxiety—but they've mostly faded away. Just make sure to take it early in the day and monitor your sleep patterns closely.

Really? I've had some scary reactions that I didn't connect to the drug immediately. Sometimes you have to stop taking it immediately. I would have never connected the dizziness and fainting to something I was taking for ADHD.

I've been on it for a while, and honestly, I love it. It's made a world of difference in my ability to focus and get stuff done. The only downside is that I've lost a bit of appetite, but it's a small price to pay for the benefits.

I started with 2.5mg and it did nothing. My doc bumped me up to 5mg and it's been great. Just talk to your doc if you don't feel it's working.

I just started today, so I don't have much to say yet, but I'll keep you updated!

I've been on Dextroamphetamine for ADHD since I was a kid. It's helped me manage my symptoms really well. Just make sure to stay hydrated and eat well—it can mess with your appetite a bit. Also, the other medications that I take don't have an effect on it.
