I've been prescribed Adefovir Dipivoxil 10mg Tablets for my chronic hepatitis B infection, and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. The medication seems to be working as far as the virus goes, but I've been experiencing some stomach pain and occasional diarrhea. Is this normal, or should I be concerned? I've also read about some serious side effects like lactic acidosis and liver problems. How common are these, and what should I look out for? Has anyone else had similar experiences with this medication? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've been on this medication for a few months and I haven't had any issues so far. Just make sure you take it as prescribed and don't skip any doses. Also, try to eat a balanced diet and stay active.

I've been on Adefovir for about a year now, and I haven't experienced any major issues. The stomach pain and diarrhea you mentioned are pretty common in the first few weeks, but they usually subside. Just make sure to stay hydrated and talk to your doctor if they persist.

I had a bad reaction to this drug. It gave me a rash and made me really dizzy. I had to stop taking it and switch to something else. Just be careful and listen to your body. Not everyone tolerates it well.

I've been taking this medication for over 3 years. My doctor suggested to take it with food to prevent an upset stomach. I did experience a bit of tiredness at first, but nothing I couldn't handle. Just make sure you're getting regular check-ups to monitor your liver and kidney function.

I'm a pharmacist, for what it's worth. I've seen a few patients who have had positive outcomes with Adefovir. As long as you're honest with your doctor about how you're feeling and follow their instructions, you should be fine.

Remember, everyone's experience is different. What works for one person might not work for another. Keep a log of your symptoms and discuss any concerns with your healthcare provider. They're there to help!
