I've been prescribed Heparin Sod 10,000u/ml Inj, 5ml and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I know it's used to prevent blood clots, but I've heard some scary stories. Has anyone else taken this and what was your experience like? I'm particularly worried about the urgent side effects listed, like allergic reactions and bleeding. Any tips on how to monitor for these or how to manage them if they occur? I want to be as prepared as possible.

The most worrying part is the bleeding symptoms. Make sure to report any unusual bruising or bleeding to your doctor right away. It's better to be safe.

I had to stop taking Heparin because of severe headaches. It was a bummer, but my doctor had other options. Just keep in touch with your healthcare provider, they can adjust your treatment.

I actually found that the injections were more manageable when I kept them in the fridge and administered them at room temperature. Just a little tip that helped me.

Just make sure to rotate your injection sites. It helps prevent skin breakdown and other issues. I found that my thighs and abdomen were the most comfortable spots.

Heparin can be a lifesaver for preventing clots, but it's important to stay vigilant. Always follow your doctor's instructions and don't hesitate to call if you notice anything off.

Can anyone share their experience with the injection? I've heard it stings. Any tips to make it less painful?

I had an unusual burning sensation on the soles of my feet while on Heparin. Turned out to be a side effect. Definitely something to note if you experience it.

I had a friend who experienced some serious side effects from Heparin. She had a severe allergic reaction and ended up in the ER. It's definitely something to be aware of.
