I was recently prescribed Nifedipine 60mg ER Tablets for managing my high blood pressure and angina. I read that it's an extended-release tablet, which is convenient since I only need to take it once a day. However, I'm a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone else taken this medication? What were your experiences like? Did you encounter any serious side effects, and how did you handle them? Any tips on managing the more common side effects like dizziness or flushing would be greatly appreciated.

I also had trouble with the tablet shell in my stool at first. The nurse said it’s perfectly normal, and it doesn’t mean that the drug isn’t working. I think most of us worry about it when we first see it.

I had some muscle cramps at first, but they went away after a month. It was also pretty rough and irritable, but that also went away after a month. I did take my doctor's advice and stay hydrated.

I've been on Nifedipine for a year now. The most noticeable side effect for me was flushing, which was a bit uncomfortable at first. I found that taking it with food helped a lot. Also, make sure to avoid grapefruit juice while on this med, as it can interfere with how the drug is processed in your body.

I think the worst part for me was the dizziness. It pretty much sucked. I'm not going to lie, I thought I’d feel so much worse than I actually do. The worst part is over and I’m back to normal. Give it a chance.
