I recently started taking Pyridostigmine ER 180mg Tablets for my myasthenia gravis and I'm curious about other people's experiences with this medication. How has it helped with muscle strength? What side effects have you encountered, and how did you manage them? I've heard it can cause muscle cramps and twitching, so I'm a bit nervous about that. Has anyone found ways to mitigate these issues? Additionally, I'm interested in knowing if the extended-release formulation makes a significant difference in terms of effectiveness and convenience. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

For me, the extended-release tablets have been a lifesaver. I was taking the regular tablets and the doses were too close together which led to a lot of side effects. But the extended-release ones are much easier to manage.

I've been taking Pyridostigmine for a few months now, and while it's helped with my muscle weakness, I've also experienced some pretty bad stomach cramps and diarrhea. Has anyone else dealt with this, and if so, how did you manage it?

I couldn't handle the side effects at all. I ended up switching to another medication, but I can totally understand why some people might find it helpful.

Anyone else have problems with excessive saliva production? It's been a real issue for me.

I think the breathing issues were the scariest part. I had an episode where my muscles seemed like they were just giving out. I started carrying an inhaler and that helped, but I still worry sometimes.

Be careful with the dosage! I had to increase mine gradually to see the best results. Also, make sure to take it with food to avoid stomach upset.
