Xylocaine 1% Inj, 50ml, also known as Lidocaine, is a numbing medication commonly used during medical procedures such as stitches, minor surgery, or dental work. It works by temporarily blocking nerve signals in the injection area, preventing pain. However, like any medication, it comes with potential side effects and warnings. This thread aims to educate and discuss the urgent and other possible side effects of Xylocaine, as well as share personal experiences and tips from fellow users.

It’s always good to be prepared. Keep a list of your symptoms and what you experienced if you have side effects. This can help your doctor treat you better.

I've had it for dental work, managing for me. The mouth went numb for hours.

I'm a nurse and we use it all the time. Just make sure to monitor for serious reactions, and have emergency meds ready in case of severe allergic reactions. The biggest thing to watch out for is not to overdose.

Has anyone had any experiences with Xylocaine?

I've heard of people having weird sensations after using it. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I had a bad reaction once – swelling and rapid heartbeat. I had to go to the ER. It was scary, but the doctor said it's rare. Always good to be cautious, though.
