Humulin 70/30 is a great insulin formulation to keep blood sugar levels in check. It combines a mix of regular insulin and NPH insulin to control blood sugar over the day. It's administered through an injection under the skin, typically before meals. While it's generally effective, some of the side effects can be severe. Some of the major side effects include signs of an allergic reaction and low potassium levels. What side effects have you experienced? And what tips do you have to minimize them?

I've gained a few pounds since starting Humulin 70/30. I'm not too worried about it, but I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this side effect? If so, can you share how it has impacted you?

I've had some issues with swelling at the injection site, but nothing too crazy. I wonder what the best way to switch injection sites is. How long do we need to wait before using the same area?

I've heard of people having allergic reactions to Humulin 70/30. What do you do if you get hives or some kind of rash? Please answer on here because it scares me.

I've been using Humulin 70/30 for about a year now and it's been a game-changer. I haven't experienced any major side effects, but I've definitely had to watch my diet more closely to avoid low blood sugar episodes. I've had a few times when I was shivery and sweating and had to eat something with sugar right away.

Switching injection sites is crucial. I usually wait a week or so before returning to the same site. It's helped me avoid any kind of irritation at the site.

Theres a reason they call it Humulin 70/30. It isn't reliable on its own. You have to offer a support system and healthy diet to get any benefits.

After a hard workout, I've had some cramps. I guess that's the low potassium levels kicking in. I'm going to look into potassium-rich foods now.
