I didn't know Lamictal could help with bipolar disorder. I'm mostly using it for epilepsy, and it's been effective, but I frequently have to remind myself to take it with water.
Has anyone else had issues with weight gain? I've noticed a few extra pounds since I started.
I love how quick and easy the ODT version is to take. No more struggling with pills!
I had some weird side effects at first—dizziness and stomach pain mostly, but they went away after a few weeks. Stick it out, it might get better.
I had to stop taking it because of a severe rash. It was terrifying. I don't think it's for everyone, unfortunately.
I wish my doctor had told me about the potential for low blood cell counts. I had no idea until I looked it up myself. Scary stuff.
Be careful with the dosing. I had to increase mine gradually to avoid a rash. It's worth it though, my seizures are under control.
I switched to Lamictal ODT because the regular tablets were too hard to swallow. The orally disintegrating tablets are so much easier!
I've been on Lamictal for a while now, and it's been a game-changer for my bipolar disorder. The hard part is the rash I got the first few weeks but it has faded. I have to watch out for my moods but nothing too serious.
