I'm starting the Otezla 28 Day Ped Starter Pack soon and I'm a bit nervous. Anyone have tips for managing side effects and tolerating the escalating dose? Should I be worried about the more serious side effects or is that unlikely? How long do the first weeks feel? I'm mainly taking it for psoriasis, so I'm definitely hoping it works. What was your experience?

My doctor didn’t tell me to eat with food. I wish they had. You’ll be fine, but it’s hard in the beginning.

I had a pretty rough time with the first few weeks. Definitely bring on the side effects which ranged from headaches to some mild stomach issues. I wish I had known just how important it was to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water and eat light, easily digestible foods. I would do it all over again because it helps so much though. Just stick with it and keep an eye out for anything really concerning. It will pass and you will feel better!

I heard Otezla can cause mood changes and depression. Anyone else experience this?

If you experience any allergic reactions, such as rash, hives, or trouble breathing, seek medical attention immediately. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I found Otezla to be a lifesaver for my psoriasis. The side effects were manageable, but I did experience some weight loss and occasional headaches. Drink more water than feels necessary

I didn't have any severe side effects, just some mild stomach discomfort. I took it with food and it helped a lot.

I was worried about the suicidal thoughts warning, but I had zero issues with my mental health. I guess everyone is different.

I had bad diarrhea and a lot of stomach issues at first, but it does get better and I can’t go without it now. I had had bad diarrhea and a lot of stomach ouchies for the first week. I felt like I was dying. But it went away. Trust the process. This is because the dose is going up.
