I've been prescribed Ofloxacin 0.3% Oph Sol 10ml (eye) to treat my pink eye infection. It's an antibiotic eye drop, and most people seem to have no issues, but I'm a bit worried about the possible side effects. Has anyone else used this medication? I just want to be prepared.

The urgent side effects list is pretty scary, especially the severe skin reactions and allergic reactions. I've read that some people can experience Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which sounds super serious. I know it's rare, but it's still scary.

Are the other side effects, like burning and eye irritation, common? I'd really appreciate some firsthand experiences or advice on what to expect. Any tips on dealing with the side effects would be great too. Thanks!

Ofloxacin worked for me too, but it was hell on my skin. I developed a mild rash and my eyes were really irritated, but no allergic reaction. Painful, but manageable

I didn't have any issues with Ofloxacin. A bit of burning at first, but it went away quickly. Just follow the instructions and you should be okay.

This website has a lot of information: https://www.fda.gov/medwatch. You should be able to get a lot more information on this website.

My doctor told me that if you're having any red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin (with or without fever) then contact your doctor or seek immediate medical attention. If you don't stop using the drug, then it will get worse. The Stevens-Johnson syndrome sounds terrible. Make sure to take it seriously.

I used this for my pink eye a few years back. It was a bit irritating at first, but nothing too bad. Just make sure to use it as prescribed and you should be fine.

The way to stop this is to stop using the drug. You might need to go to the emergency room, but it should go away. If you don't, the Stevens-Johnson syndrome will get worse. Then you might need to go to the hospital.

I had a really bad reaction to this stuff. It was like my eyeball was on fire, and the skin around my eye got red and blistered. Really scary, and I ended up in the ER.

It's so scary that you can have Stevens-Johnson syndrome from this. So I stopped using the drug but the infection is worse now. I don't know what to do.

I thought the instructions said to report any other side effects that you experience.

Honestly, I think the side effects list is terrifying. I've heard of people having really bad reactions to antibiotics.
