I've been prescribed Xanax XR 2mg Tablets for my panic disorder, and while it's helped with my symptoms, I've been experiencing some side effects that have me a bit worried. I've been feeling really drowsy and have had some memory problems. Has anyone else had similar issues, and if so, what did your doctor recommend? Also, I'm curious to hear about other people's experiences with this medication. How long did it take for you to see improvements in your panic disorder? Were the side effects manageable? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I want to make sure I'm managing my health correctly and have heard the extended release can have some unique issues.

I just started taking it, and I'm already feeling like I can't think straight. It's so frustrating. Has anyone else had trouble with cognitive issues? I'm not sure if I can keep taking it if this doesn't go away. How long does it take to balance out?

I had some shortness of breath and dizziness at first, but my doctor said it was just my body adjusting to the medication and it went away after a few weeks. Have you talked to your doctor about these side effects? They might be able to adjust the dosage or switch you to something else. I'd also mention if it's troublesome at night, to take it during the day or maybe take a smaller dose of the immediate release version.

I've been on Xanax XR for a few months now, and while the drowsiness is annoying, I've found that it gets better after a while. My doctor told me to take it at night and not to drive until I'm sure it won't affect me. Don't worry, it gets better.

I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like you need to talk to your doctor about adjusting your dosage or switching to a different medication. Don't try to tough it out if it's really affecting you. There are other options out there, and your doctor can help you find the right one.
